Believing in the Future
We
believe in the future--one that will be created by the young people that we aim
to challenge to pursue happiness through personal exploration and
self-discovery. Times will change, new people will come, innovative
technologies will emerge, and creative ideas will overshadow the old ones.
However, the human quest for something greater than ourselves, our passion for
adventure, eagerness to better our lives, and a spiritual hunger will always
stand at the core of the human experience. As the world moves along, we, at the
Ecumenical Center, want to also move along, seek new ways to engage those who
we serve and offer opportunities that will be challenging, yet fulfilling,
innovative, yet ancient in their inception, and most importantly, gratifying to
all they touch.
We have a dream to expand our programming in the years ahead, beyond the levels
that we have ever encountered. We hope to seek support of the local community
as we develop strategies that will help us enhance spiritual conscience among
the young people we serve. And we aspire to better understand what our
community's needs are in order to meet them by engaging in a creative
exploration of what the young people of the 21st century are willing to stand
for.
We are here, open for ideas, welcoming a challenge, eager to grow. Come join us in what will be a remarkable ride. |
